When people enlist in the military, they know that they will be required to relocate from time to time. If they do not realize this, then they will soon be in for a rude awakening. Whenever the time for a military move comes, there is little doubt that it will be just as stressful as any civilian move. In fact, military moving is more stressful than typical civilian moves, because the notice may be shorter, and the family will probably be unfamiliar with the place that they will soon be calling home.
In order to make a military moves as smooth and low stress as possible, a military moving checklist will come in handy. Military moving checklists are probably most valuable for military personnel and their families who decide to make a DITY, or Do It Yourself, military move. The reason for this can be attributed to the fact that a DITY move requires considerable more planning than a standard military move. Of course, any military move will be better organized and less stressful with the aid of a military moving checklist.
A traditional military move is funded by the military, and they select the moving contractor. Depending upon the size of the household, they military will cover all the expenses up to a certain weight. As mentioned above, the military also allow relocating personnel to choose the option of a Dity move. When military personnel opt for a DITY moves, they will either rent a moving truck to drive themselves, or use their own vehicles. For obvious reasons, the military does not recommend the DITY option for overseas moves.
Regardless if a military move is a DITY move, standard military move, domestic move, or overseas move, it is always wise to use a military moving checklist. After all, the one thing that makes any move more stressful than it has to be is disorganization. But with a military moving checklist, any move will be more efficient and considerably less stressful.
