Is your stock keyboard too slow for those end game boss battles? Go custom

Custom keyboards

Computers are absolutely everywhere these days. Business people use them, students use them, gamers and doctors even use them. With this wide variety of people from different backgrounds and different needs in mind, custom keyboards are becoming ever more popular. Customization of the keyboard can be anything from a cursor controlling trackball, to different colors of keys, and the size of the keys on the keyboard.

Gaming is a hugely popular phenomenon in twenty first century culture. It isn’t limited to men or women, young or old. The fact is everybody likes to play video games. It is because of this that custom hardware, like gaming keyboards and mouses, are being manufactured. Companies understand that people who are serious about this hobby want a high quality gaming keyboard. We’re talking a spill resistant keyboard, a backlit keyboard, with endless custom key binding potential. Keyboards built specifically with the gamer in mind often have built in joysticks and are ergonomically designed to make those long nights of fighting evil elves more comfortable than ever before.

Of course, gaming isn’t the only area of life where customized, backlit keyboards are seeing a rise in popularity. An increasing number of hospitals are now offering their patients the use of computers in their rooms. This is extremely useful when considering the amount of paperwork each patient may have had to fill out by hand before. Now the information can be stored digitally, cutting down on cost and space requirements for storage.

Beyond the money saving implications is the comfort of the patient. The fact is that being in a hospital bed for a long time is not the most enjoyable experience. By giving access to computers, to the internet to their patients, hospitals are helping to make people more comfortable when they are in their care. Since the keyboards are fully sealed, they are easily to clean if some undesirable material finds its way to the device. This is a key measure in ensuring safety for hospitals implementing in room computer access.

Whatever need consumers may have for custom keyboards, be it a backlit keyboard or a tactile gaming keyboard, there is someone producing it. With the rise in program specific key bindings, making the keys do exactly what you want them to when pressed is easier and more convenient than ever before. If you’re gamer, a hospital manager, or an everyday web surfer, consider a custom keyboard.

  1. I work in a senior living center. We use computerized medicine deployment systems. Up until recently we had stock keyboards that really slowed everything down. The company recently bought a full supply of custom imprint keyboards that make things much smoother.

  2. I remember late nights playing with average keyboards. After a while I developed a condition in my wrists that made gaming painful. Since making an investment in a gaming board, I’ve had no problems.
